Step 1: GET PRE-APPROVED
Individuals submit form TP1 to State Department of Revenue at address on the form. the taxpayer ID is GRACE Scholars is 26-3237980. List GRACE as the SSO and enter the intended amount. The state will respond within 30 days with an approval letter.
Step 2: COMPLETE GIFT
Upon receipt of pre-approval, you will have 60 days from the date of approval letter
to complete you gift, but no later than December 31. Send the state's pre-approval letter, GRACE designation form and check payable to "GRACE Scholars, Inc."

Donors may also PAY ONLINE. Schools can be designated when paying online.
A copy of the approval letter from the Department of Revenue must be mailed
to GRACE Scholars regardless of the payment method.
WE RESPOND
Grace Scholars will acknowledge your check with a thank you letter and state form SSO1 that you will need for preparing your state income tax return.
Claim your GRACE donation as a charitable deduction on your Federal Return.
Claim 100% tax credit on GA Return: Increase Georgia Adjusted Gross Income by adding
back GRACE donation on GA Form 500, Schedule 1, line 4. On GA Form 500, Schedule 2, line 4 list GRACE donation as the Qualified Education Expense Credit.
