Why does St. Anne-Pacelli have an Annual Fund?
Tuition only covers 71% of the cost to educate students at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School. The Annual Fund is necessary to make up the almost $1,600 per student difference. It also allows our parents, staff, alumni and friends to show support for our school while receiving a tax deduction.
Why doesn’t the school raise tuition to cover the true cost of educating and quit relying on the Annual Fund?
Raising tuition to cover the actual cost of a St. Anne-Pacelli education would put it out of reach for many families. The Annual Fund is a way to allow families who have the means to pay more to do so while keeping education affordable for those who are less able to pay. Additionally, Annual Fund contributions are tax-deductible, while tuition payments are not.
How are contributions to the Annual Fund used?
Donations to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and are, therefore, used for a variety of needs throughout the school. At St. Anne-Pacelli, the Annual Fund supports programs, salaries, student financial assistance, facility improvements and other operating expenses.
Why should I give?
If you are a parent, what could be smarter than putting your money where your child is. As an alumnus, you want to talk about your years here with pride so help us keep growing and improving. If you are part of the Catholic community, you will be helping the church family by giving children a strong foundation in their faith. Finally, if you are a friend or community member, your interest may be in developing good citizens. A St. Anne-Pacelli education molds young people into leaders who give back to the community.
What if I can’t make a large gift?
Gifts of any size are appreciated and help us reach our $130,000 goal. Smart people know that working together is the best way to succeed.
Can I make my gift in memory or honor of someone special?
Absolutely. We will make sure the special person receives notice of the gift and will recognize the honoree in the Annual Giving Report.
Can my gift be matched by my employer?
Many companies will match their employee’s charitable donations thus increasing your total gift. Please check with the Human Resources department to see if your employer offers matching funds.
How do I make a contribution?
You may make a gift by cash, check, credit card or transfer of stock. You may also make a pledge and spread your gift out throughout the year.
All gifts must be received by June 30, 2012 to be counted toward the 2011-2012
